Transferring recipe or measurement data from Excel into Uncountable is simple and efficient. You can quickly copy and paste your data while preserving its structure, ensuring a smooth transition into the platform’s tables.
How to Copy and Paste Data
To move data from Excel into Uncountable, use the standard keyboard shortcuts:
- Ctrl+C (Cmd+C on Mac): Copy selected data from Excel
- Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac): Paste data into Uncountable
When pasted, the table structure remains intact, with each cell mapping directly to its corresponding position in Uncountable.


Paste Special Options
Uncountable also offers additional Paste Special functionalities within the Edit tab of the File menu to further customize your data input.

Excel: Paste directly from Excel into a separate modal, within which you can preview and edit the columns and rows you are pasting before adding it to your recipe.

Transpose: Switch data between rows and columns, making it easier to adjust formatting when necessary.
Fill Selection: Apply copied values across a selected range of cells, eliminating the need for repetitive data entry.
Includes Notes/Annotations: Allows users to include information stored on the cells being copied and pasted.
