Uncountable’s View Preferences option provides users with an easy way to customize how their data is displayed on the Enter Recipe page. This setting allows users can save different column configurations. Columns that may be saved in View Preference include, but are not limited to:
- Ingredient Attributes
- Column Calculations
- Actual Values
- Lots
- Roles
These configurations can then be loaded into different projects or recipes within the same material family. They can also be shared with other users by adding them as “Watchers”.
Use Cases
The View Preferences feature enables users to customize their Enter Recipe page configuration based on the specific type of recipe they are working on. Consider these examples of recipe types and columns:
- Rubber formulations: Actual Value, Batch Weight, Cost, and Specific Gravity columns
- Synthesis experiments: Molecular Weight, Moles, and Temperature columns
- Paint formulations: Ingredient codes and Weight % columns
Instead of adding these columns manually for every recipe, the user can save this configuration as a “standard” view preference. Additionally, they may also choose to save a “consolidated” view preference for a simpler display, showing only essential recipe information. The View Preferences feature offers an easy way to toggle between these two data displays.
