New parameters can be created from the Process Parameters listing page or on the Enter Recipe page directly.
From the Listing Page
To create a new parameter from the Process Parameters listing page, click the blue “+ Process Parameter” button.
In the modal, fill out the following information:
- Process Parameter Name: Name the parameter.
- Additional Material Families: By default, the process parameter will be created within the current material family. If you want it to be available in additional material families, use the selection menu.
- Category: Assign a category, if relevant.
- Type: Select the parameter type.
- Units: Set units for the parameter.
- Attributes: Assign any relevant attributes.
From the Enter Recipe Page
To create parameters directly from the Enter Recipe page, click the “Add Parameters” button and select “New Ingredients”. This can also be done from the Add Inputs modal.
This method will return the same new ingredient modal, within which users can fill out ingredient name, material families, categories, and attributes.
Note: The ability to create new parameters from the Enter Recipe page can be gated behind an approval, by customer request. To do so, contact your Uncountable representative.
