While creating and editing recipes, there are a variety of display options available to provide additional information directly on the page. Many of these options can be found in the Display toolbar at the top of your screen when you are editing a recipe.
Eyeball Display Options
There are a few display options that have an eyeball icon, indicating the features that you can quickly show and hide on the Edit Recipe page. Many of these features can be found in the Display toolbar, but as these toolbars are customizable, you can always find them using the “Search Actions” bar at the top of your screen.
Constraints: Clicking this button will show or hide constraint sets for each ingredient in a recipe. These constraints can be set up in
Experiment Metadata: Clicking this button will show or hide the experiment metadata section in a recipe. This includes all existing metadata fields and the option to add new metadata.
Categories: Clicking this button shows or hides the ingredient category for all ingredients in a recipe.
Expanded Ingredients: Clicking this button shows or hides the expanded ingredient section of a recipe. This section will summarize the individual ingredient breakdown in a recipe, which is especially useful if you are using intermediate ingredients. This information can also be accessed by individual recipe ingredient by clicking the arrow next to the ingredient, as denoted by the arrow in the image below.
Lots: This button has two options: Show Lots and Show Lots for all Recipes.
- Show Lots: Allows you to set individual Lots for each recipe by ingredient.
- Show Lots for All Recipes: Allows you to set ingredient Lots for all recipes in the table.
Step Controls -> Individual Step Reordering: This feature allows you to reorder steps when you are working in a recipe with a multi-step workflow with Mix Order enabled.
Predictions: This feature allows you to pull in predictions for ingredient amounts and input calculations based on previous predictive models. The second option allows you to pull the predictions into the recipe table as columns.
Other Display Options
Attributes: This button allows you to display any ingredient attributes such as cost, solids %, specific gravity, etc. within the table.
Lot Metadata: This button allows you to display any lot metadata fields such as Expiration Date, COA, and more within the recipe table.
Show Column Calculations: If you’re formulating in parts or mass, show Calculations will display a list of additional columns with the different “calculated versions” of a recipe, such as in weight %, moles, volume, mass solids, or many other options. You can also edit the value of an ingredient cell by adjusting the main column or a calculated version of the column.

Set Baseline Recipe: This feature allows selection of a “Baseline” which will highlight the recipe with bolded font.
Show Cell Emphasis: Selecting this button will bold or highlight changes made to a recipe.
Actual Values: This button will show or hide the actual values column which displays the actual ingredient amounts that were added to the recipe, highlighting any deviations from a predetermined formula.
Displaying Recipe Calculations
If you’d like to keep track of recipe calculations, you can add those to your view as well from the project information box on the dashboard. The calculations will display below the formulations once added to your project. See the calculations guide for more details.
Other Options
Reordering Recipes: To change the order of the recipes on the edit recipes page, you can click and drag the 3 lines to another location in the header.
Remove Recipes from View: To remove recipes from the display, you can click on the recipe name in the header and select “Remove Formulation From View”.
