Identical Experiments

The Uncountable platform allows users to search through all of the experiments contained within a given project to determine whether any given experiment has already been carried out. This tool is especially useful in determining whether an experiment has previously been done, and comparing the results of identical experiments to understand the variability of certain measurements.

To access the Identical Experiments page, click on the Calculate button on the Dashboard, and select Identical Experiments from the dropdown menu.

Once a user has clicked on the Identical Experiments button, they will be brought to its landing page. Several filtering options are housed on the top half of the page, while the bottom section contains a chart listing all of the experiments that are identical in composition.

For an experiment to appear on this list, it needs to have exactly the same ingredients and amounts as another experiment. While process parameters are not automatically considered in this calculation, users can toggle the button at the top right-hand side of the screen to include them in the search.

By pressing on the Select Formulation To See More Details field, a user will call up a dropdown box which allows them to select a specific formulation to view in closer detail.

The Load Save button allows users to return to an earlier search that they have previously saved.

Between the two fields, there is an Add Filter button which efficiently allows users to sort through dozens of results. The Add Filter button will add in a blank filter field, allowing users to select one of a number of filtering options to sort their results by, including: My Experiments, date, tag, experiments in My Project, etc.

The table at the lower half of the screen will populate with all identical experiments within the parameters set by any filter. By pressing on View Details, a user can view the specific recipe page for that experiment, and by clicking on Compare, a user can compare all of the identical experiments within the same recipe view.

View Details

The View Details page allows users to break down the component ingredients of any selected experiment, view the metadata for each ingredient, and export the results into an Excel document.
